I was asked to make a mini octopus like the ones people are making for preemies and donating to maternity wards. Apparently studies indicate the octopus help the preemies to do better as a sort of sensory tool, all the tentacles I suppose, they can grab them and what not.
Anyways, this is my version of the octopus fresh off the hook! Kind of a nautical thing going on at the moment. Working on a new pattern for a narwhale and will be doing a sperm whale soon after.
I am going to update this post, soon after sharing the image with the recipient she requested another one for big sister in blue... so here you have it, little and big octopus.
a very good friend was in town last weekend, after little man went to bed, it was just like old times - up late knitting and crocheting and gabbing away. ❤️
She was enroute to visit her family down south, just so happens to be her niece's birthday while she was there. Being from the north she tries to incorporate northern themes in the gifts she gives her. This year she got some beluga whale books and I took over her idea to make a beluga whale amigurumi (she didn't mind I swear!).
